Weekday Activities

Our regular Activities

For further information on any of our activities please feel free to contact us at any time.

Monday

Prayer for a Pastor:8pm till we finish - Started by a group from the congregation this is a recognised time of prayer for our whole church when each person can join the wider body in prayer wherever they may be. We have a centralised group which meets to pray in The Mission Hall. As the name suggests the main aim is to pray for God to bring us a new Pastor though people are free to pray as they are lead and we often pray for the unity of the church and other issues related to this search.

Wednesday

Lunch Club:Doors open 11am, Lunch served 12.30 close at 2pm - Here at St Giles we have one of Islington's longest running Lunch Clubs. Opened for the Elderly in the wider community and offering a place for people to come and chat to each other, play games enjoy lunch and hear the Good News of Jesus. All those who are able to come are welcome. Lunch is £2 and that includes free teas and coffees both before and after.

WNC (Wednesday Night Club):7 till 9pm - Our regular youth group open to all those aged between 10 and 16. At current there is no regular fee but young people may wish to bring a little money to spend in our tuckshop. A typical evening sees us playing a few group games, chilling out in the Hole in the Wall (our Youth room), sharing a short gospel message and having time for young people to ask any questions they may have as well as time for individual activities and games.

Friday

Sewing Circle:7pm till about 9ish - A small group of ladies meet for informal sewing lessons, knitting and the oppurtunity to have a good natter about things. There is a policy in general of no men (though if we get enough men asking there is no reason we couldn't start another group). Anyone is welcome to join the group though those who come are asked to contribute £1 each week towards various activities

Other Activities

We do have other irregular activities, these will usually be well advertised in church with a notification on the Home Page.
